Pros
Relatively medium sized company still permits access to upper management with a little creative planning. Top management treats all levels well, respectfully, cordially. Tends to promote from within so there is corporate mission consistency and stability. Each satellite has its own 'team' culture so always a place to transfer where a new employee will 'fit' in if one doesn't feel right. Each satellite team tends to work cohesively, efficiently. Most employees still have 'fun' at work and enjoy their job. Employees have been relatively shielded from 'cut backs' by upper management. Reasonable attempts are made to accommodate advance schooling.
Cons
Limited career ladder for non-nurses, with low ladder turnover. Becoming more automated, requiring less clinical assessment talent. Increased patient load promotes impersonal 'assembly line' attitude toward patient care. Team mates can get (understandably) 'snippy' to those not carrying their weight.
