Pros
Owner is intelligent and can carry on interesting conversations at times.
Cons
Owner thinks he is more intelligent than he is and carries on and on and on about problems he had in the past. He interviews prospective employees for hours but when they arrive for work, he tries to persuade them to work as independent contractors so he can save money. When this independent contractor submits an invoice for payment, the owner says the project is incomplete or the work is not acceptable and refuses to pay. If the new hire decides to be an employee, they are required to work the hours the owner dictates and that may be more than ten hours in a day. If the owner has made an outside appointment, no one is allowed to work because the office is in the owner's home and no one can work there if he is not there, so the promised hours per week are not available unless they are willing to work ten hours a day. If the owner has had a conversation that did not end favorably, he will verbally abuse any worker who is close by in front of the other workers without any justifiable reason. The job listings he posts are not the accurate descriptions of the jobs he wants performed. He elaborates in the descriptions to get qualified candidates, then he reduces the actual job tasks to filing and research. I could go on but there are too many negative aspects to this company to begin to list.
