Pros

I think people are always the best thing we have inside a company. Gatewit is one of those examples apart from the board directors.

Cons

Customer perspective The company itself sells a lie to the customer. The directors rule the art of tricking the customer enticing them with a product that doesn't answer their needs. Compras Públicas, the main software sold by this company, charges credits/money without the customer know it. Collaborator perspective Control freak, constant pressure by the hierarchical superior, all the decisions are centralized on the CEO. There's a lot of dating and political playing involved inside and outside the company.

Pros

The company has a good product that can possibly pick up traction in the US market. But they need to refine their strategy

Cons

No training, no support. It took about 3 days to get in touch with anyone in the company. incorrect reimbursement. incorrect compensations. miscommunication about paid time off/vacation days. Given less days than first mentioned.

Pros

- Office is very well located for Lisbon area. - Free water and some fruits. - Nice PC. - It’s a good opportunity for junior developers for a maximum of 6 months - after this period, it’s better to find something else. - If you are very very lucky, you can get some project on Symfony 2 for some months, but it's very rare.

Cons

- Overtimes will never count, and this is considered as a standard practice. - You’ll be working with «very» recent and an updated stack of software with PHP 5.1 and Symfony 1.4 - Back to the Future. - You’ll have lots of security and architect issues that you will need fix, or maybe add some more, because they don't care about it. - Nice project management where most of things should be done for yesterday and normally without well structured requirements specification. - Best HR department I’ve ever seen; they do nothing for employees’ needs. - The company’s schedule is flexible, but only if you stay after schedule to do more overtimes, if you need time for personal issues or if you arrive late because of traffic problems or such, be advised that you’ll be facing problems. - There’s no access to Wi-Fi, because it’s believed that is a security liability. - Forget about your career here, even on contract renewal negotiation; they only raise you if you found another company paying more I hope this is enough to provide an understanding of what this company looks like inside, with their lies and wonderful marketing, such as: "We are best place to work".
