Great Experience, Horrible Burn Out - School Operations Manager Gem Prep Employee Review

First and foremost Gem Prep has a super supportive administration. As a teacher, that is one thing that really makes my job easier. Secondly, the teachers I work alongside are amazing. They are great teachers who are also good people. We actually hang out, outside of school, regularly. Finally, the curriculum is great. It’s rigorous and very well laid out, making it easier to teach. I don’t feel like o have to make up a hunch of my own curriculum, although their is a lot of flexibility to do that and add your own ‘flare’ to it.

Although enjoy the academic rigor, it can be a bit fast paced and stressful sometimes. There are high expectations of both students and staff, which can sometimes lead to anxiety for both students and staff.
