Pros

*Strong "can do" ethos *Great for people like me who are privileged, white and private school alumnus -- opportunities are more available. Better if you're male. Use it to your advantage. Women: dress to impress (but not tarty). You'll get noticed and tagged along to the right places with the right people. *Strong adoption of remote tools and tech adoption *Patient satisfaction scores are high

Cons

*Investment banker culture runs deep *Average white male will get roles over better white females *Attractive average competence white women get roles over competent, average attractive non white women, *Bullying isn't recognised as it's engrained in the culture. I've never come across this much company bullying (mostly female to female, or female to male). *Only the inner circle of a handful of employees at ELT level are valued by the business. The rest of employees at HQ very quickly feel disposable, undervalued and disposable *High churn, low morale, excessive reliance on "patient purpose" to try to justify unsunstable workload *zero concern for employee mental health. Employees are exploited in typical private equity fashion *Amongst most nepotism I've seen in a healthcare business. If you're friends with someone, you'll get the job. *Toxic culture that does not care for employees. * Intentionally vague pricing structure for patients. Patient led pricing, not treatment based. *FOR PATIENTS: If you're rich, act and dress poor when you go for your first consult. You'll get cheaper treatment or completely bulk billed treatment on Medicare. If you're rich, you'll get charged a healthy fee. That's why Genesiscare does so well financially. Doesn't sit right with alot of us *salary is great for a small rung, below market for others.

Thank you for sharing your candid feedback. At GenesisCare, we work each day to create a positive culture for our employees and ensure that all have an opportunity to grow their career with us. As our organization continues to grow at a fast pace, we know we still have work to do in this area. Our global talent and capability team is currently working to create career development paths and increased opportunities for professional development throughout GenesisCare, with more clarity and consistency around roles. I’m disappointed to hear that you’ve seen bullying at GenesisCare. We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying and harassment. If you witness bullying by any GenesisCare employee, please report it to your manager or, if you don’t feel comfortable doing so, contact the People and Culture team. The past year has been particularly challenging for the emotional well-being of all employees, and we recognize the toll it has taken particularly within our business given its frontline operations. We’re in the process of launching a new well-being program that offers resources and programs to help our employees find stability and balance after a turbulent pandemic year. Thank you again for taking time to share your perspective on working at GenesisCare. We know we’re not perfect, but we’re sincere in our goal to care for each other as we do our patients.
