Pros

Access to benefits. Nice break activities (arcade style games, massage chairs, daily/weekly activities). Depending on you project: Free snacks, and extra break time to use throughout the week (wellness time). Training staff is good at laying out the requirements of the job. Options to purchase lunch on site.

Cons

Lack of communication: There is very obvious lack of useful communication between management and employees. It often manifests itself in events where you need someone specific. There are times where you need one person to help, they are scheduled to work - they were there in the morning, and they are gone. It feels like people are missing for hours at a time. Messages that were supposed to be relayed were not delivered or delivered late. With a functional instant message and email system, there are plenty of opportunities for them to communicate a failure or an update. Lack of urgency and responsibility. In the event something does fail, no one is eager to step up and fix the issues. When the internet gets shut off (due to "scheduled" maintenance that no one knew about), there is no direction for next steps. Leaders do not want to step up and take responsibility for something that impacted an employee. HR is not helpful in regards to direct deposit or doctor excuse issues. If anything, they can be hostile in their attitude when an issue arises. You are expected to take time away from your job to communicate an issue that they should be able to resolve. Deal Making. If you do not get a deal or commitment in writing, don't expect it to happen. There were multiple instances where not having documentation for a statement led to more frustration. Bad news. No one wants to deliver bad news, or report a preventable work related mistake. It has to be done. Bad news is not a fun subject, being able to directly work with an employee to resolve an issue - and not give them options at the beginning is a recipe for disaster. Their updates are worked on for weeks at a time, and given to employees to be fully understood within the workday. Employees are expected to be robots, able to interpret policy in seconds, and not people who need time to look up details in their difficult to navigate policy handbook. Time. There is such a waste of time throughout the entire training process. Either computers aren't working, logins are not working, or people are not there. The phrase "hurry up and wait" is best to describe the working attitude at this company.
