Pros
The onboarding process was the most robust I've encountered, everything was considered, and the intentional integration period allowed me to find my footing within the organization while shaking off burn out from other, less than stellar agencies that I had worked at before. Geonetric allows for employees to grow vertically or horizontally, which was an odd concept to me but one of my favorite parts. You don't have to leave what you love behind if you don't want to in order to further your career. And while I personally felt it would be better to move beyond what I originally started out doing, I have seen others flourish within their areas of expertise. The teams are highly receptive to experimentation and ideas that improve deliverable work. The teams at Geo are always working together to improve quality, efficiency and standardization. The most crucial aspect of me joining Geonetric was the promise of an unrivaled work-life balance and I'm happy to say they absolutely delivered on that promise. Flexible work hours, a culture that understands that life throws surprises at us, and rapidly accruing PTO means you always have room to breathe and put your work aside at the end of the day and go enjoy life. Finally, the clients. No agency exists without its clients. The fact that Geonetric is tailored specifically to healthcare means the clients are 100% healthcare organizations across the nation. Every client is wonderful in their own way--even those that have their quirks--and working with healthcare orgs always gives me a personal sense of purpose. We're not just trying to sell something, we're guaranteeing that users in need of care are finding it fast.
Cons
The amount of internal stand-ups and rituals may not be for everyone. Amount of experiments can fluctuate, with multiple overlapping at one time, and this sometimes creates a feeling like there are too many happening at once. Saying this, they're always intentional experiments meant to drive the company forward. Like many companies, the transition from in-office to remote first means they are still ironing out the best ways to continue fostering and maintaining the company culture in the digital world.
