Long working hours, 9-5:30. Only 30 mins for lunch. 'IT Technician' oversells the role- it is min wage warehouse work. Manual labour and heavy lifting, use of pallet jacks etc with no training. Trip hazards everywhere. Unsafe/unstable stacking of disposed assets. H&S/health hazards disregarded and hastily swept under the rug if Environment Agency are visiting. Workbenches not at safe working heights (too high/low)- no seating either, Many complaints of pain from this, staff standing on plastic crates to reach up etc. No proper stools etc provided. Daily performance targets are set but if you meet them, staff will try and push you further and overwork you. Never met actual manager as they were on extended sick leave - when they returned they immediately left again after 1 day due to a dispute. Had no personal issues with acting manager, however others explained that they had had to raise grievances with his conduct. Staff member with learning difficulties was criticised for mistakes relating to that difficulty. Pressure from staff I don't report to, because they want to make more sales and earn commission. Only 1 toilet inside warehouse, not very clean. Often no soap, toilet paper or hot water for weeks at a time Staff generally unhappy with management. No sense of camaraderie, just common frustration. Little to no natural light in warehouse. Was told PPE would be provided - never was Apprentices hired but management treated them like full time staff - tried to get apprentice company to rearrange learning times as wasn't conveinient for company sales targets. Contract took months to be written up then was full of errors when it did arrive. Felt like being in prison/enslaved. Not a good workplace. Avoid.

Not allowed to bring drinks in, once in the warehouse you cannot leave until it’s your lunch break and no access to drinking water Below minimum wage and will not pay for over time Will no put the lighting on in the warehouse even in winter when it’s dark No health and safety - expected to handle equipment from unknown places without gloves Forced overtime and do not get payed overtime rates You need to be security checked before leaving so will keep you behind beyond hours until they feel like you can leave and will pay you extra for it
