Pros

Gigs has the potential to become a $10B+ company which is both exciting and motivating to the whole team! It's a newly disrupted industry with a plethora of opportunity at its doorstep. The company is growing very quickly -- both in developing an A-class product and signing on big new customers across verticals. Additionally, the work culture is the best I've ever experienced. Everyone is not only super smart but also down to earth. Flat hierarchy, respectful of people's time off (nights/weekends/holidays), and hard working when on to keep the company growing quickly.

Cons

No cons to be had at all.

Pros

-Laidback atmosphere -Coworkers are friendly and welcoming -Kids (for the most part) want to be there and learn! -If you enjoy working with kids, you're definitely going feel fulfillment from working here like myself -Super small company -You work independently -meaning that even though you have co-workers, you're mainly interacting with your students because you're 99% of the time scheduled back to back -It's a good starter job for those that want to go the music education route and/or music route but want to gain experience

Cons

-Super small company (less than 20 employees, including teachers) - Even though we get paid above minimum wage, it's only by $1-$2, definitely not as much as other teaching positions but like I said, if you're mostly there for the kids, you won't mind it too much -Like I said in the pros, you'll at some point get kids who don't want to be there or don't practice at home, so it can get very repetitive teaching them the same thing for weeks on end -Get asked to do things outside our job description for ex. go from door to door advertising about a concert the owner is going to perform in (granted they do ask and super nicely at that but if you have a bunch of lessons back to back, it can be hard when all you want to do is take a breather) -Not much time to get to know your coworkers (if you're someone who enjoys working with others, this could be a con more than a pro which is why I wrote it here)
