Pros
Gilead pays comparatively well whether you are permanent or contractor.
Cons
Gilead will make you work for that high salary which will result in a terrible work-life balance. It is not the work that is challenging, it is the people that make the culture and work environment extremely draining and toxic. Finance leadership is the direct reflection of the severe lack of culture here. Employees are treated differently based on skill level and politics. You are expected to work until they say stop which creates burn out and mental anguish. They hire and promote the most toxic leadership. It's all about management and never about the ground workers. Promotion of ground level workers (non-management) is very rare because Gilead's only goal is to retain you. Not promote you or develop your skill set. Growth is not an option here. This company that only invests in performative Diversity & Inclusion efforts.
