Intense deadlines - Architect Glavovic Studio Employee Review

This is a firm doing architecture that you can truly feel proud about - every project is meaningful, inspiring, responsible and creative. I was able to get experience in all phases of design and learn a lot in a short amount of time. The principals are highly knowledgeable and experienced, always available for guidance and mentorship and do their best at balancing an intrinsically demanding profession with an approachable and positive attitude.

For me the location was a con as I did not want to live in Fort Lauderdale long term.

The principal has high standards and good aesthetics. She is respectful and expects the best out of people especially since she does the same. The work produced is smart and comes from a genuine place. I interned there and learned a lot and if you worked hard and are capable you will get more responsibilities which is a phenomenal environment to learn in. Everyone was approachable and helpful.

The studio is small and usually feels stressed despite the inherently cool dispositions. The staff who worked there while I interned were experienced and talented people but it seemed like the work load got to them more often than not. I think that is normal?
