Pros

- generally good people who are nice to work with. - good benefits. - diverse areas of programming and global coverage

Cons

- poor senior leadership and board. No clear vision or strategy that aligns to the mission. Board provides no accountability because they’re not fully informed of realities within the organization. CEO wastes money on consultants who produce little. CEO is indecisive and aloof from the day to day and surrounded by “yes people” who contribute little. Brutally poor executive communications to the workforce (frequency, authenticity, honesty). Chronic overspending of budgets and wasted resource by leadership. Revolving door of senior leaders because CEO can’t build and maintain a functional exec team. - policies aren’t clear or well disseminated. -culture of chaos, almost by design, to avoid accountability. There is always a reason something couldn’t get done or was deprioritized. - overall deviation from the mission and programs. No clear identity. - poor day-to-day standardizations or ways of working. Unclear processes for simple tasks. - feels like a startup despite its lengthy history- mostly because of several failed mergers which failed to bring or keep the good from the merging orgs, and just made it all worse.
