Pros

Community lunches are a plus and some of the people I met here became good friends. This would be a good place to intern or get your first job at, provided you were committed to learning all you could very quickly and leaving soon after.

Cons

The management here is really struggling to figure out the company's next move, and any forward momentum flounders in internal politics and unrealistic planning. The science and research being done is not advancing and government/external partnerships are weak, or in name only. Unfortunately, the company seems to lack any real vision to change this.

Pros

-Many of the lower-level staff are very friendly. -There is flexibility with your work schedule. You can work from home sometimes. -Staff lunches give everyone a chance to relax a bit and connect on a personal level -Career development (time and financial support) is decent

Cons

-Staff are given MANY more responsibilities than outlined in their job descriptions and are not compensated appropriately for additional duties -Staff are not treated or compensated fairly -No opportunity for career advancement -No recognition/reward for staff that exceed their expectations -incredibly high turnover. -As a result of the above, staff morale is very, very low -Also as a result of the high turnover, the organization is constantly reinventing the wheel which makes the organization super inefficient. A great deal of time and money is wasted on having to recreate things that have already been done.
