Pros

First, I will say that the problem with most of these reviews is that they are written by disgruntled ex employees. Most current employees aren't writing reviews on Glassdoor, or the reviews are reactionary. I was hired over 4 years ago for Operations. I also held a position in the Thailand office. The thing that I was told when I started was that this was a growing company and a new office, there will be growing pains. Indeed there were, but they were completely manageable. Global Rescue did not close the office in Thailand, it relocated it to the Philippines. All medics working in that office were offered positions moving forward. Global Rescue paid to move me and my family back to the US. We were not locked out of our computers, not left without a paycheck, and not stranded in a foreign country. Perhaps the individual making reference to this was terminated due to performance issues. Additionally, Global Rescue does pay in full to all vendors we utilize. That statement is completely false. The company is still growing, it's not a huge fortune 500 company. There are and will still be growing pains. For the most part these are simple changes in management or SOPs. Yes, the schedule recently changed. Some people like it, some don't. Some like knowing the week in which the are up to deploy, others don't want to be on call for a week. This is a standard in any company when there is a schedule change... People don't like change for the most part. Additionally, this is a for profit organization, not an NGO. Some seem to find it difficult embracing that. The people are awesome, the job is interesting, we deploy all around the world from time to time, we get paid well. If you are considering a job here don't get turned off by Glassdoor. The reviews are biased. I've been with the company for over four years and am now only writing a review because of all the biased negative ones. I urge you to apply and ask many questions along the way. We will be truthful with you. This is the best thing I have done in my EMS career... I would do it again. I am in Operations, not in HR.

Cons

Some drama like in any corporate environment, spending money is tightly controlled due to private for profit company, there is sometimes a lack of communication between departments.
