Pros

GSTS offers a great playground for Data Scientists. They have access to lots os interesting datasets and interesting use cases.

Cons

They would benefit with a more streamlined approach to product management.

Pros

Mainly very, very smart people with a couple of major exceptions who seemed protected by senior management. Can be a place to do amazing work depending on your management chain. People in general are very friendly with said exceptions, who not only are incompetent but are also not friendly and opposed to change. This is a startup so it's hard not to single out bad apples and probably people doing Glassdoor reviews, sooo!

Cons

The company seems divided in two camps, the really, really smart people that do meaningful and amazing work and have great ideas and work great together, and the 'uhm' or 'other' side who are managed by people that feel threatened by smart employees in general. The most frustrating aspect of working there was seeing how some senior managers protect people that are simply not up to the job (very hard to hide a lack of technical capabilities and leadership in such a small company) just because they're buddies. I guess that happens everywhere but I wouldn't have expected it from a startup where things need to move fast and with vision and some people are mostly in the way of implementing ideas instead of actually looking for ways to implement them. Sometimes it felt it was because they lacked very basic technical understanding and their first reaction was to oppose to an idea.
