Pros

I was working at Globallogic in Krakow for 3.5 years. I was hired as a Senior Java Developer and later was promoted to the Lead position. The company offers various positions in different projects. If a project ends for some reason the employees will not be made redundant. In many (or even all) cases everyone has an option to find a position on the new project inside the company. I was working for the client from the USA and had only positive experience cooperating with them. I had an option to work not only with Java but with k8s, Docker, etc. My colleagues from the US were competent, cheerful and had always aimed to meet the commitments the team had. Therefore, they did their best to help you in case of any blocker or if you just stuck on some issue. Additionally, during my employment I had three business trips to the US (cities near Boston and New York) each for two weeks long. It is worth mentioning that they were not obligatory and of course fully paid by the company/client. Those trips were available for employees in all positions (BA, QA, Dev, etc.). In addition to the good salary the company provides employees with a decent social package (Luxmed, multisport, etc.). You can join their library where numerous technical books are available. Tech talks in different topics (Nodejs, Kotlin, k8s, Docker, elastic stack. etc.) are regularly organised by your co-workers. I also had a chance to organise one. The office is located near Bonarka city center which means that you have a large number of cafes to have lunch. Moreover, in most of them you have a 20% discount as you work for the company which is based at that business center. I used the discount even for the car wash and the service to change the tires of my car. It is easy to commute to work by bus or by car (there are a lot of parking lots in the business center or Bonarka). The office itself is great. It is new, regularly cleaned, well-equipted and with a few areas to relax (e.g. play video games or table tennis). Finally, although in the office you can meet people from all over the world, the atmosphere is just great - everybody is cheerful and I can't remember any act of discrimination. I left the company because I decided to work with a different technology stack. Therefore, when I got an offer that met all my requirements in terms of technologies and remuneration I made a hard decision to leave. I hadn't had not any issues with the management while working there or when I was leaving the company. I can totally recommend this company.

Cons

I was working on VM which sometimes was annoying. However, working on VM had its benefits e.g. you could connect to it from your PC when was working from home. Anyway you get used to it fast and it does not affect your work. I can't remember that the website/resource that I needed was blocked on VM.

Pros

None. Working from home used to be a perk, until they changed the schedule and made every employee log in and out 12 times a day.

Cons

If I could give this workplace a -10 stars, I would. This workplace stole years of my life, made false promises, and ruined my career trajectory. Upper leadership is cutthroat and awful. I was moved into over six different roles during the 2.5 years I worked here without any say or consent. There is zero feedback loop, management does not want to know what employees think. The phrase change management is thrown around constantly here, which after a while just translates to bad management. The most toxic, fear based culture was created that there is no turning back from. You have to track your time in at least three different systems throughout the day. There is no trust that exists between employees to upper management. Full time employees are callously laid off monthly, while they hire new people at a fraction of the price. I will not be surprised if I am part of a class action lawsuit in coming years. I would not wish this place of employment on my worst enemy. Stay away.
