Pros

- Fast recruitment process. - Very, very good salary for a low skill level job. - Reasonable relocation package including flight, bus trip and accommodation for one month was provided for those moving to Ireland from abroad. - Hardware provided was top of the line quality.

Cons

- Everything after receiving the green light for recruitment was done extremely sloppily. Job title, salary and contractor name had to be corrected numerous times on the official paperwork. Flight dates were wrong and specifically requested and agreed upon private accommodation was not provided. The whole process was completed with We don't really care as long as we get someone -attitude. - Actual job didn't match what was discussed with the management and HR. What was described as a somewhat challenging position turned out to be in reality an assembly line type assignment. - IT hardware was great, but the tables and chairs were the cheapest non-adjustable stuff found on the market, so if you happen to be really tall or otherwise of non standard proportions you are in for a world of pain. - There was absolutely no onboarding about management hierarchy and company policies which led to situation where nobody knew nothing about anything regarding to these subjects. The fact that it took me almost a month to find out who my actual line manager was as everyone that should have known gave different answer and another one to actually meet the person about sums it up. - Cronyism ran rampant throughout the department. This is of course to be expected with large corps and their subcontractor companies. but in this case it was especially blatant as the system was practiced completely out in the open and those in charge didn't even bother to try and hide it. This didn't show much through promotions as there was no clear career path forward for anyone, but through the fact that the favoured people had almost no rules at all. No quality standards, meeting the quotas, staying at the office for the agreed eight ours per day or even turning in sober were required. On the other hand, those fallen from grace where pushed with warnings, yelling and dismissal threats to put in unpaid overtime to reach unrealistic targets. - There was absolutely no communication with the management and employees. No meetings, weekly/monthly reports or one-on-ones. The only time when any kind of contact happened was when there was no way to avoid it and even then the preferred method was email. - HR could not be trusted on anything. Getting straight answers was almost impossible and even when you got one it was many times an outright lie. The general policy seemed to be total avoidance of any uncomfortable situation no matter what they had to say or do. It was also not uncommon to be orderd to stay silent about certain subjects or lie to your collegues. - Job security was nonexistent. Dismissal without any kind of prior warning or discussion could happen at any time and those dismissed were, at least as far as I know based on a few trusted sources, not given any real reason, only phrases like "we are not satisfied, please return your badge and don't come back".
