Pros
Colleagues are the only bright side — smart, helpful, and hardworking people doing their best in a sinking ship. Some projects were technically interesting, but short-lived due to constant restructuring.
Cons
Terrible management with no real vision. Every few months there’s a new reorg, more layoffs, and more vague emails full of corporate buzzwords. Leadership hides behind “financial optimization” and “organizational evolution” to justify cutting people with no warning. Absolutely no transparency. You find out your job is gone during a 15-minute HR call — no performance issues, no notice, just cut to hit a number. Managers are passive, avoid real conversations, and only show up when things are burning. Don’t expect mentorship, career growth, or even support. Morale is rock bottom. Nobody trusts leadership anymore. Everyone’s quietly job hunting while pretending to care on Zoom calls. After the NuVasive merger, everything became worse. Culture clash, poor planning, and layoffs disguised as “strategic realignment.”
