Pros

The pay is outstanding compared to many other jobs in the area! The managers all communicate so well and have such a good understanding of the needs of employees. Everyone in the organization is so willing to jump in and help wherever needed. There is transparency between the high-level management to the middle managers and to the front line staff. Everything is very transparent and we are always aware of things that are going on. The high level management does a wonderful job of assessing when the Frontline staff should know about things and make sure to include their opinion on big decisions.

Cons

This is truly one of the best jobs so nothing bad to say!

Pros

Middle management is full of good people who care about the work and are passionate about the community.

Cons

Executive leadership is completely dysfunctional, disrespectful to employees, and seems to operate from a place of reactivity and fear. They do not engage with their employees, listen to their concerns, or conduct themselves in professional ways. I have felt extremely disrespected by the mother-daughter leadership team and have witnessed concerning behavior and horrible treatment towards their staff. From forcing staff in-office without adhering to COVID protocols to witnessing leadership lash out at employees and make unfair accusations, I felt unsafe and set up to fail. Other issues I had while working at GIG: - Bare minimum benefits (5 days PTO a year, no paid parental leave, etc.) - No real pathways for advancement - No transparency on internal system changes and how they could effect staff - Minimal/no pay increases with no clear explanation as to why - Actively discourage communication between internal teams - Rotating door of HR personnel
