The staff were friendly and it was a convenient location from my house

My immediate supervisor was helpful, and I appreciated the guidance I received directly from him. He was approachable and friendly. There seemed to be a major disconnect between the day-to-day reality of the job and what upper management understood about the actual workflow. The biggest issue was not the work itself. It was the lack of clear communication, the expectation for people to work outside the scope of their roles, and the lack of support from people higher up in the company. Drivers were working 10 to 13 hour days throughout the week, and it often felt like decisions were being made by people who were not fully aware of what was actually happening on the floor or within the role. On top of that, I felt isolated in a way that was uncomfortable and inappropriate for the nature of the business. Being separated, not having proper airflow because it was mandatory for the doors to be closed. I was discouraged from speaking to others, and feeling constantly watched created an unnecessary level of stress. Overall, I did my part. I showed up on time, followed expectations, took only my allotted breaks, and made a genuine effort to learn as much as I could. While my immediate supervisor was helpful, the company would benefit from stronger communication, better training, clearer expectations, and leadership that is more connected to the reality of the day-to-day work
