Interesting products to work on but poor management and work environment - Anonymous employee Golden Frog Employee Review

Poor upper management that expected to have it both ways when it came to expecting employees to take initiative vs managing risk. Constantly changing priorities and product designs. A lot of churn and micromanagement. I told people I felt my role had become that of a mind reader. A rude and disrespectful approach to employees when management's expectations were not exactly met. Consequently I shut down and took the least risky options in all decisions until I left voluntarily. The offices on the west side of Austin are for the most part a depressing and dark cube farm. I had high hopes when i joined the team and loved the products, but I was very disappointed by management. They could not seem to bring themselves to walk it like they talked it.
