Pros

Have experienced great career growth through various projects and opportunities to advance in my role. An incredibly talented group of individuals who are friendly and supportive. A dynamic and fast-paced work environment that is very rewarding and engaging. There is also great support for employees to ensure they have the tools to work efficiently in the office and at home. The office also has great snacks available and very fun company outings, my favorite being the company ski day—so many perks!

Cons

I do not have prior industry knowledge, and this space can be difficult to grasp sometimes. This is not necessarily a con but more of a challenge. Understanding the industry can be difficult without prior background, but the immense support of other employees makes it much easier.

Pros

Have worked with Golden Helix for nearly a decade as a contractor, in a remote role.  My focus is to support major grant applications and government tenders, and post-award compliance & management. This is a high-quality company that values & rewards competent and motivated individuals. Most of my contract work is high stakes and very time sensitive. Nevertheless, even under these very stressful situations the interactions with the CEO and team have always been professional and collegial, which isn't always true when you're a consultant... Also, Golden Helix pays invoices promptly - in a decade I've never had to chase even a single invoice. Highly recommend working with this talented, driven team.

Cons

This is only a con if you have a lackadaisical approach to your work: Expectations are high, and be prepared to bring your A-game, with consistent attention to detail. While some commented here about the snacks, I've never gotten to try them - guess I'll have to make it over to Bozeman for that. ;-)
