Pros
The mission is to help people find jobs even if they have barriers to traditional employment. The community is diverse, both the workforce and the customers. The managers are dedicated to excellence and set high, but hopefully doable standards for their employees. A great place to do court-ordered community service. Management works hard to accommodate disabilities.
Cons
Goodwill seems to attract shoppers with challenging behaviors. Customers often feel entitled to argue prices and et cetera without acknowledging that though the product is donated, sales have to pay for infrastructure, wages, and training programs. Job is high volume and high stress more often than it isn't. Employees with multiple disabilities may find it very challenging to communicate their needs to management.
