Pros

Onsite parking and a lady out front that waves at you when you leave everyday.

Cons

They don't care about their employee's,they'll "just hire someone else"quoting my supervisor who also was dishonest with me on several ocassions. They do not want to pay anyone working in the back plant area and there is no room for advancement, your stuck at the 15-17 dollar an hour range for years. They also are the only company I have ever seen that actually do onsite "pop" drug screening.Test positive for marijuana and your gone. They also have a strict attendance policy with hardly any sick days and thats only the beginning, the entire plant area is not climate controlled so your working in extreme heat and to make matters worse they have a powder coat line that has a massive oven in the middle of the plant which amplifies the roasting experience. They do not even want to buy any tools for you to work with so any hand tools or measuring instruments are worn out and dull. Also if you like working with the self righteous and pious this is the place for you. They also have terrible insurance that doesnt pay for anything so I was told because I couldn't afford it due to how expensive it was,so if your good with not having any benefits to speak of this is the job for you.The hours are also interesting because you work from 5am-3:30 pm,forget your cicadic rhytym and saturdays. If you like working for a indifferent and obtuse supervisor there again this is the place for you.

Pros

-Consistent work schedule -The Gate Ladies are the nicest

Cons

-Little to no training. Employees are expected to perform jobs they were never properly trained for. -Health insurance is expensive and offers minimal coverage. -Constant material shortages make it impossible to do the job correctly, yet workers are still blamed for issues caused by those shortages. -No clear structure or organization. -Team leads often don’t know who is responsible for what. -Employees are told to create internal documentation or processes, then later told they can’t exist due to “duplicate internals,” even though no clear system is in place. -Poor communication between office staff and plant workers. -The work environment feels more like a high school than a professional workplace. -Favoritism is obvious. If you are not part of the “clique,” you are treated differently. -Harassment is not handled appropriately. Concerns — including disability-related issues — are minimized, dismissed, or reframed in a way that makes the employee feel at fault. -HR lacks confidentiality. Personal or sensitive information shared with HR is discussed openly and repeated back through supervisors or coworkers. -HR appears overly familiar with certain employees, which undermines trust and makes reporting concerns feel unsafe. -Employees are made to feel responsible for the way they are treated rather than the behavior being addressed. -Employees who don’t fit in socially or question processes are targeted, written up, or pushed out rather than supported.
