Pros

I started in 2020. Great place to get your feet wet. Think of this as the boot camp of sales. His place has an amazing commission structure but that’s about it for the pros here.

Cons

The cons seem to always be growing. I loved this job when I started. Since 2022 started they’ve been micromanaging like I’ve never seen. This company is going downhill and doing it fast. First of all, Rob Hale (CEO) is a great guy personally, but professionally he makes broken promises and doesn’t deliver. He had a lunch meeting with the staff one day - asked what would make Granite a better place to keep employees and make it attractive for new ones. EVERYONE said Work From Home policy improvements. He has delayed this now for 4 MONTHS!!! Terrible work culture, they all think you can’t get anything done when you work from home. Enjoy working from home 2 days a month when you start out. Get any deals closed? Better hope the project management and premier account managers don’t drop ball and lose your deal for you. Oh and Rob introduced this “amazing” new tool called the BD Cashboard, where you compare yourselves to other reps. Nobody cares about this stuff, it’s just another micromanagement tool. This company values you making 80-100+ calls a day rather than booking meetings. We got 7 emails yesterday about increasing activity. Company is becoming a micromanagers dream, and it’s sad to see that. Deals take months to close and get paid on. I also feel like I’m working back in the 90’s. All management walk in at 8am and have a power trip over what they can control today. They preach how you can make a ton of money here, and while that is true, it’s very unrealistic. Have fun calling a bunch of terrible leads too, as they reserve anything quality for the top reps. I hope this company actually starts to care for their employees. They do the absolute bare minimum to help you succeed OUTSIDE of work. You’re also deemed lazy if you only put in 40 hours a week. Toxic work culture that is made out to be an amazing place to work on LinkedIn. STAY AWAY if you enjoy your freedom, as this job drains you mentally. And the training is sub-par at best. They just try to get you to drink the Granite kool-aid. It’s sad I’m writing this review, as I did enjoy this job once. Now I can’t wait to close a decent deal in my pipeline so I can get the commission check and just leave. I am counting down the days and can’t wait to leave!

Pros

No pros what so ever.

Cons

This company and specifically the collections department have very little opportunity for growth, despite what may be promised during the hiring process. Honestly, it’s a circus. Non stop tasks are thrown at employees each day. And Goals are constantly increased so analyst can’t reach them. Employees who work hard and consistently perform well often find themselves stuck in the same position with no clear path for advancement. Promotions and opportunities never appear to be based on performance or merit. Management is one of the biggest issues. They have no clue. Favoritism is prevalent, and certain employees seem to receive special treatment, better opportunities, and more support than others. This creates a frustrating and discouraging work environment where many employees feel undervalued and overlooked. Morale suffers when performance and dedication are overlooked in favor of personal relationships and when there is little accountability for management and no transparency regarding career development. Communication from leadership is lacking, and employee concerns are not addressed. Management gets defensive when employees ask questions or disagree with their stupid decisions. Overall, it can be a VERY challenging place to build a longterm career if you are looking for fair treatment, professional growth, and strong leadership. Turnover rate is very high. Also, micro management is at an all time high. Would not even recommend this place to a college grad for entry level experience, if i could Put 0 stars, i would. For the sake of your mental health, stay far away.
