Pros
--Easy to obtain a job. This is partly due to the temp-to-perm system (you are a temp employee for 90 days) they utilize for almost all positions, so there's almost no risk on Granite's end. --Very charitable company. Again, this partly benefits them, but still I'll give them credit. --Somewhat frequent bonuses distributed to entire staff. --Easy access to subway. --Great free gym. --Standard 8-5. Rarely work late
Cons
--No autonomy. No flexibility of schedule; no working from home even during emergencies and everyone must take the same 12-1 lunch break and not a minute more --Being on a cell phone is essentially a fireable offense, restricted internet access. Sure, you should mostly be working while at work but the zero-discretion applied to this category is alarming. --Low base salary for essentially everyone besides Sales and Software/Database Dev teams --High turnover due to unfulfillment/ low salary. Can't say I blame them.
