Pros
Hands down the best management team that I've had the pleasure of working with. Shawna was the manager when I worked at gravitypope on 4th and she was the best manager you could ask for. She knew how to get the best out of her staff and get everyone to focus without micromanaging. She was the perfect leader, someone you would look up to. There were lots of opportunities to grow your product knowledge that were always fun and engaging. Management want you to excel and give you the tools to do so. I came to gravitypope with no fashion or shoe know-how and left totally jazzed about the brands we carried and the techniques used to keep your shoes looking fresh. I felt like there were no silly questions and it was just a really collaborative and open work environment.
Cons
Some of the clientele were a definite con, but I think that comes with the territory of upscale fashion (and also working during pandemic times). Some regular customers were lovely people you would look forward to seeing, others would buy 2-4 pairs of $600+ shoes at a time and complain that there were homeless people outside the store. The best customers were those off-beat fashion fanatics and the worst were rich uppity folk with no regard for others. You get a bit of both, but such is retail.
