Pros
Only pros is being a manager and being able to hire who I want, make the schedule how I want, and do what I love (cutting hair).
Cons
Franchisee owners are terrible, just opened 6 months ago, they're never there to offer guidance, often micromanage us by texting, opened up another salon and forgot about us, they don't do any reports or number crunching, I literally do everything an owner would do while managing and get $11/hour. I can't even raise my family or have a home life since I'm at the salon 24/7. Any "failure" gets put onto me and it's not pretty. Writing me up for not posting daily craigslist ads for recruiting?! I post every other day. Zero benefits, zero bonuses set in place. Academy is a joke. Zero marketing tools to use, so customer count is low for new salons with crappy locations.
