The internet sales reps do work hard. The fact that they are treated like dirt is why there is high turnover.
Cons
Managers treat the Internet sales reps like dirt. No positive feedback whatsoever. The reps are bogged down with ridiculous, tedious tally sheets required by their manager although the phone lines are monitored and can verify how they are doing without paperwork like that. Reps can't even take a break or lunch because management expects them to be on the phone at all times. Hardly any training for new people. All in all, management does not understand that exceeding sales goals occurs only when employees feel appreciated and receive constructive, not inappropriate destructive, feedback. Terrible pay, too. Hello managers, how do you like living in upscale homes while your subordinates are paid very little and don't live the lifestyle you are entitled to?
