Pros

This seems like a great company with many years of service to the Churchs they contract. They have great sales materials and a set, formulaic way that they conduct the calls. Some benefits include medical. This could be great for the right person.

Cons

This is a hunter role. High level of cold calls. No gas mileage reimbursement, no phone stipend. Because I would need to use my own email and phone number, I didn't feel this would give me the legitimacy that I would need to do a good job in this position. The high number of calls and the quick turn-around felt like a recipe for burnout.

Pros

work from home is only pro

Cons

Soooo many...here we go ! 1 - We are W-2 employees, but paid commission only - they do offer a very small draw (not enough to eat) 2 - You are told there is NO micro-managing, but it is MAJOR micro-managing!!! Sales Reps MUST be on a live Zoom call inside a breakout room ALL day. Management can jump into your room at any time to monitor your work. They justify it saying it's in case we have any questions...but, seriously the job is so easy, there are never questions and if you do have, there are phone numbers to call for that. They just want to monitor you. During training they tell you it will be for week 1 only, then insist it is week 2-3 only for new reps...NOT true. Every rep MUST be on every day or you will be reprimanded. 3 - We MUST also send in a Daily end-of-day numbers reports to monitor our calls made. 4 - ALL sales turn into house accounts and they renew the ads in-house themselves, so we cannot have an opportunity to renew our commissions. We get left-over accounts that they cannot reach and by the time they renew or sell in-house, the territory is saturated. 5 - The top sales reps brag how they make a lot of money, but I have figured our their system...they receive top assignments, renewal priorities and make $ off reps they train through salary, among other things. 6 - Also, they work in the stone ages. They are ALL paper and send us a box full of paperwork that have hand-written notes from office personnel & previous reps. Not very professional. 7 - They require us to take credit card payments verbally over the phone which is practically unheard of these days. Most customers do not trust giving out their credit card information to a random, unknown sales rep claiming to be from some company, especially these days! Their whole system is flawed for new reps to come in and make decent money. I suffer every day and that's why I am currently looking for something else. I just want to secure something before quitting.
