Pros

None. Horrible place to work. Lots of pompous high sounding ideals from philosopher CEO and executives, none of which have any resemblance to reality.

Cons

The only objective Guidewire has in placing professional services personnel on a customer project is so that person can occupy a seat and the company can check a box witth the customer. Almost all Guidewire implementation projects are run by a partner - EY, PWC, etc. These partners treat the Guidewire staff with disregard, disrespect and abuse. Any discussions the Guidewire employee initiates on these issues with his/her management are met with unrealistic suggestions and grandiose promises, promises which are immediately forgotten and never mentioned again.

Pros

NA, can't think of anything positive anymore. It's a micromanaging mess.

Cons

Guidewire makes majors shift every 2 years and the last one to take PgM out of PD into its own department is a micromanaging nightmare. We have more status meetings and spreadsheets to update than time to do any work anymore. 3 places to update if I want to take PTO. 7am and 7pm meetings are now the norm. 6 bosses in 10 years, no one can make up their mind on the direction of the company, projects start and are abandoned constantly.
