Pros
Autonomy over files. Nice colleagues. They have a balcony for parties with clients. If you do not have experience in wet shipping matters especially collisions, this is a place where you can get your hands full with such matters which can be pretty interesting. One of the consultants of the firm is nurturing and guides you well although he may be very strict and fierce.
Cons
The management team is childish. The directors make spurious allegations against you behind your backs although they may act nice towards you. Even if you were the one who tendered your resignation, they will spread word around that you were fired/ told to leave the firm. New company policies and circulars are issued at the sole discretion of the managing director unilaterally, You may suddenly come under a probation period without your knowledge or have salary deducted/increased without prior notice, Although it is stated on their website that they invest in continuing professional development, it is untrue. They will never sponsor your cpd events/courses.
