Pros
There are two major pros when working at Guru (at least for me). First is the company culture. A lot of effort goes into keeping the company connected and motivated across two coasts. Guru encourages a healthy and fun culture from a variety of angles. Everything from office happy hours, to live music events, to 1:1's with the founders and leadership. They hire for culture, and that makes a huge difference when you're seeing your coworkers every day. Second is their dedication to professional growth. Guru encourages hiring within and allowing employees to explore areas of interest. As long as you've got grit and show your dedication to your work, there are no guardrails set up to keep you in a specific role. Beyond these two, there are so many more benefits. If you're interested in working with talented, fun and kind people at a high growth company, I don't think it gets much better than Guru.
Cons
If I have to list a con for the benefit of anyone interested in working at Guru, it would be around financial and healthcare benefits. As a startup, they don't match retirement contributions or have top tier healthcare. But I think this is to be expected from a company of this size and age. For what they do provide in these areas, it's certainly sufficient.
