Flexible schedules but toxic management and HR issues - Provider Guthrie Mainstream Services Employee Review

Pros

Flexible schedules, sweet members, okay location

Cons

HR is a joke, honestly. When an issue about management was brought to higher-ups they turned it around as a way to attack and even threaten the provider's job security. Most of management and HR have too much to do, leading to them purposely putting off or ignoring issues with members, providers, and upkeep of facilities. Bringing a concern for a member's health and wellness to management should not have been ignored, nor should it have turned into HR having management threaten job security for the provider working there. Absolutely insane response to potentially life threatening issues being left unattended. Definitely clique based workplace. You're either in or you're an outcast. Too little providers and management, and too awful a HR base to even trust or feel heard when you voice that something is wrong.

Pros

This company provided excellent support and were so caring and flexible. They were very understanding if something came up unexpectedly or if I needed any schedule changes. I rarely felt overwhelmed with job duties and had constant support throughout every shift. Truly, 90% of the job was so much fun and felt like I was just socializing with friends and participating/leading fun games. During the summers they do field trips every Friday so I was able to go to the zoo, and many local museums not only for free, but while being paid! I loved the place and the positive aspects made it a heart wrenching job to leave...

Cons

- Like most of healthcare jobs these days, the pay was just too low. It was a non-skilled entry level position so I wasn't expecting the big bucks, but I just could not afford to stay. - I also become stuck with a particularly difficult client that had some really rough behaviors. I didn't mind the client or the work, but it ate at me for dealing with a whole lot more than other coworkers who spent the day doing fun stuff and had zero behaviors to deal with - and yet they still received the same paycheck.
