Cons
Values are not lived and culture is toxic . The company is small but communication is poor and not filtered for store teams. People disappear with no comms , occasionally there will be an email circulated to thank the individual . The is an undertone of who is next to go , for a business so young the amount of restructures and teams all removed indicates that there are major issues , particularly in retail . I wonder as so many if I will be next as work performance and integrity doesn’t seem to matter. People are overworked as the appetite for process isn’t prioritised as if it’s not seen on social media and it’s not a viral moment then it’s not important. Teams work in silos so everyone is focused on what they believe to be their function priority so their are competing priorities and no one focuses on the consumer or end user as they only see from their perspective and no consideration of the entire process . Ego and self importance stops leadership from hearing others POV and listening to experience. The senior retail leadership have their own agenda and it’s not aligned of how Gymshark want to represented. They have a do the bare minimum mentality and that is also how the retail employees are treated.
