Pros

I worked there as a CSA and then a checker my Junior and Senior years of High School. Very easy to move from CSA to checker, a little bit longer if your'e after a management position. Everybody is nice and in my opinion you'll never have too difficult a task. The store is always bustling so it's hard to get bored.

Cons

Managers treat you like children. When I was leaving I gave a letter indicating my two weeks notice. I brought the matter up with my manager multiple times in those two weeks yet when my last day came around I checked the schedule and saw that I was scheduled for 20 hours the following week. I simply told my manager goodbye and left him to figure it out.

Cons

NO FULL-TIME OFFER! The recruitment process at H-E-B Digital is deeply frustrating and appears to lack integrity. Despite having relevant internship experience and receiving positive feedback during the interview process, I found that the company’s hiring strategy seems entirely reliant on prioritizing individuals recently laid off from FAANG companies. It feels as though they are not genuinely interested in developing new talent or giving equal consideration to qualified candidates who don't fit that specific profile. Advice for Management: Be transparent with applicants regarding your hiring criteria. It is demoralizing to waste time and emotional energy interviewing when the process feels like a box-checking exercise. If you are not actually hiring, do not string candidates along with positive feedback. The current approach reflects poorly on the company’s values and brand. Recommendation: If you are not a recent layoff from a major tech firm, I would suggest looking elsewhere. It appears to be their business model to prioritize those specific candidates over others, regardless of your personal qualifications or positive performance during interviews.
