Pros
Management generally seems to care for drivers and will work with employees should emergencies arise. Loads are generally ready upon departure time. Opportunity for horizontal movement is available. Family friendly and technologically modern. Safety is taken adequately seriously.
Cons
Lower than average pay and some favoritism among employees exists. Somewhat of a “good-ole-boy” environment exists where unequal pay for the same job and experience exists. Long rigorous days. Strict point system that is unnecessarily rigid. High turnover. Any and all discussions concerning pay are immediately shut down. Needs sick day program and/or more vacation time with better incentive program. Pay program using “production” is insufficient and suspect. Routes are too long. If you want any time with family or to relax seek employment somewhere else, 55-60+ hrs in 5 days normal.
