Pros
Most of the projects/deliveries works like a govt. sector (cool on employee part) More Geo opportunities You can submit resignation & revert 'n' number of times if u have good supportive line/COE managers (don't imagine i was part of that yo yo game) Get a posting there on the pay scale you have imagined and grab a top position just get hold of it until you plan to quit IT. it works!! ( have seen such lucky chaps, many of them)
Cons
less salary hike or no salary hike like other MNC's Like i mentioned in pro. most of the delivery works like a govt. sector, similarly the support functions such as HR/employee hr services/admin too works like a traditional govt. :-) If you don't know how to move politically and still just relying on your ability and skillset - you may be in the wrong place. If your planetary positions are incorrect, a simple lead guy till top management will screw/scribble your annual appraisal (subjected & relevant to point#3) and at times in worst case, they might try to setup an exit interview with the help of HR with no options for you.. :-P
