Personal experience as a customer and a staff. 1. Poor work culture. Sales and branch banking team treat you like you are their personal slave. They have no manners of speaking so say whatever they want and abuse. 2. Branch only provides services if you mean additional business. They won't even entertain a staff who knows process and provides (through official emails and policy page in system) them process to be completed at their end only. 3. I have seen many sales with fake commitments and force sale even i was victim of same. 4. Most of time as a staff and as a customer i have seen my complaint closed without solution or they even haven't tried to call the issue. 5. High work load and pressure. Low staff and very high expectations. 6. No one speaks for fear of victimization. 7. Not all but Mostly Branch banking staff is arrogant and adamant. If their target is completed they don't care and most of time hold customer application for next target period even if it is out of TAT. 8. High end politics you don't get promoted even if you get employee of the month and get recognised for you performance. My supervisor had ever appreciated me and recognised me but no promotion in a very long term. 9. For promotion you have to be recommended by your supervisor even if your performance is best compared to other colleges. If supervisor don't recommend you are not eligible for promotion. 10. Appraisal process is said to have transperant and performance is system calculated but catch is 80% weightage comes from system calculation where most of data is manually entered and 20% by your supervisor for which you have to be a politician. Even then, if you are at top, it's your supervisor who will decide your faith.
