Pros

Nice local office. Clean. Ok benefits.

Cons

Constantly understaffed. There is always more work than people and this wears down the good, hard working employees who want to help the company succeed. New ownership needs help understanding the business they purchased. Often seem lost but try to talk around their uncertainty. Ownership may also be spread too thin to really take time to understand the function of each department. Despite the fact that this is a small business employees feel overlooked, overworked and under appreciated.

Pros

They value work-life balance, the pay was good, the benefits were good, the management listened and incorporated feedback, and the people who worked there were kind.

Cons

Not really man cons, we were always busy, but that's not a bad thing.

Pros

A few coworkers were great!

Cons

When I first started, everything was presented in a very positive light—almost like “sunshine and rainbows.” However, over time, the reality became much different, and it reached a point where I dreaded going to work. I worked in the Leave Department, and unfortunately, the managers and supervisors lacked the necessary skills to lead effectively. It wasn’t until I transitioned to a new role elsewhere that I realized just how unhealthy the environment had been. In my current position, I feel valued and respected—something that was missing before. Suggestions for improving efficiency or processes were not welcomed and often led to being singled out. One of the most inefficient practices was the requirement to complete a daily timesheet detailing how much time was spent on each account and task. It felt more like micromanagement than meaningful oversight. My new employer is able to manage client billing without tracking every minute of the day. The culture was overly invasive, and feedback often came in the form of criticism rather than support. Employee well-being seemed secondary to profit margins. There were no bonuses, the pay was below industry standards, and overall morale suffered. Unless there is a significant change in leadership within the Leave Administration and Benefits Department, they will continue to lose talented employees.
