This company does some of the most cutting edge and interesting work anywhere. The views at the Malibu site are breathtaking. When government contracts are awarded and stable, things are great.

The companies that own HRL are (and almost always have been) questionable contributors to the company success. Half of senior management at HRL are highly educated and competent. The other half are self-serving and add no value to the staff they're expected to support. The board of directors (I can only assume) are smart and well educated but seem to be stuck in the 1970's as they attempt to drive a cutting edge company forward. HR, IT and Finance (leaders) are all out for themselves and prioritize protecting their jobs over serving anyone in the company.
