Pros

Co-workers. At least you're all in the mess together so you have that in common.

Cons

HUB aka "Head Up Butt" accurately defines the management team here. The turnover is ridiculous, HR is a joke as evidenced by the number of people who are at this company for less than a year. I've never heard of so many people happy to quit, get laid off or get fired from somewhere. If you're looking for a "worst place to work" environment, this is it. It's one of those types of places where if you get an offer letter your life would actually be better if you turned it down. People have literally walked off the job on the spot at this place. There's a reason all employees are "exempt" -- how else are they going to get you to stay late and / or come in on the weekend to do your work while keeping salary overhead low? Since some Chicago guy came over from corporate and started running the show, the place became a dreadful working environment. Morale is destroyed and management has no idea how to fix it aside from sending out surveys and hoping to see if their last change made things any better. Reminds me of another Chicago guy's slogan of "Hope" and "Change" -- and the constant change here is the faces of the people at the desks. Veteran salespeople are let go because their quotas are raised to some astronomical level -- but the company is happy to release them because they retain all the current customers. This move saves the company from having to pay out higher commissions (more experienced = more accounts to their name) and benefits while keeping the accounts. This isn't a natural progression of a sales environment to boost sales revenue, this is a back-stabbing, ruthless business tactic designed to steal long-time customers and relationships and reset costs to lower levels. Account Managers and other office staff are flooded with unnecessary paperwork / busywork and are the living definition of overworked and underpaid. If you're looking for a job that will get you a little more than an unemployment check while you continue to look for a real job, this is the place to go. You will more than likely experience at least one TAM and one printer issue a week. Minimal investment into IT is evident. This list could go on for pages with specific instances of problems at Hub NW. Some stories are funny, some are unbelievable, but many of the recent Hub NW departures will tell you the same things. This isn't a "disgruntled employee" writing this, but it is an accurate description of how low this company will take your career, morale and quality of life.

Pros

Remote work, health insurance benefits.

Cons

I do not recommend working in corporate for HUB, especially in TechOps. Based on my experience, the culture in that area was extremely unhealthy. I saw repeated issues with senior leadership communication, decision-making, accountability, and how employees were treated and concerns handled. Additionally, in my view, HR did not provide meaningful support when employee concerns were raised, completely downplaying the concerns at times. Employees often had to work around confusing or poor leadership decisions instead of being supported by clear direction. I also witnessed senior leadership not tolerating feedback from their employees in a healthy manor. The result was a toxic work environment where many very strong employees have left over the past year.
