Our HZ Heroes program, which was created last year, helps us celebrate the great folks who always go the extra mile, bring positivity and keen insights to every conversation, or just make our days better with humor, incredible talent or a little bit of both. We recognize the importance of taking a step back to celebrate everyday victories and big wins with gusto.
It’s true that the fast-paced nature of agency life isn’t for the faint of heart. Working with tight deadlines means that we can’t always pursue every idea that comes out of a brainstorm. We’re committed to not just doing great work, but the right work for our clients. We take a collaborative, consultative approach to branding, digital marketing and advertising, and work with every client to determine the best solution to their business challenges and opportunities.
And because we’re solutions-based, we encourage employees to write reviews and will continue to encourage that dialogue. Everyone in the HZ community—current and former employees alike—should feel free to provide constructive feedback.
HZ values transparency and effective communication. Because of this, we are creating an anonymous digital "feedback box" to ensure that current HZ employees have a way to voice concerns, express opinions and cheer on positive change. This feedback will be read and carefully considered by HZ’s executive team.
Job satisfaction and professional development are important to us and we know that they're essential to attracting and retaining great talent. In 2016, we launched a mentorship program that has created valuable, meaningful connections for team members. Additionally, HZ does have a formal annual review process that includes a qualitative assessment of employee achievements.
As HZ continues to grow and work with fantastic clients, we are dedicated to cultivating a supportive and unique culture. We have always been and always will be only as good as our staff. We are focused on making sure team members know how important they are, and are rewarded for their hard work.
I’ve been with HZ for 20 years now, and I can say without hesitation that the teammates I work with are part of my family and that one of the great things about this agency is the mutual respect between colleagues. They’re good people.
