Pros
Tremendous digression in "Pros" over the course of the last decade. Health benefits, Bonus program, lunch perks, etc. all declined and/or dissipated.
Cons
Quotas are a big element in the business, you will be pushed well beyond comfortable/realistic/respectable boundaries to meet those quotas, irrespective of outlying influences that are beyond ones control. In my 10+ years of Haas employment experience, the outlying influences that hinder your quota(s) are labeled as "Excuses" - so beware even if/when you offer support to your colleagues that are in a bind as you could put yourself in precarious circumstances. Managers are driven to appease THEIR managers & will employ all means necessary to accommodate. To remain employed you need to be prepared to endure this “by all means necessary” daily situation. Due to high accountability within one’s role, expect minimal support from peers as to avoid themselves not meeting their own quotas. MANAGERS rarely support their own employees as they themselves have projects due that require their immediate attention; i.e. you are on your own & expected to “make it happen”. Advertise annual reviews with wage-increase opportunities, but Reviews/Pay-increases are rare. Aware of many inside/outside of my Dept. who have not received pay-increases in years. State mandated minimum-wage increases are catching up with professional pay wages. Epitome of a hostile work environment - employs an on-site lawyer to navigate.
