Pros
Working with other employees was the only pro.
Cons
Working at Hagbros presents significant challenges, particularly for those who, like myself, joined the company with little prior experience. The organization appears willing to hire anyone in need of employment, yet this approach leads to a lack of essential communication, guidance, and support for new employees. Instead of receiving the necessary training, newcomers are often told to "figure it out" on their own, which can result in feelings of isolation and confusion. When mistakes occur, the environment can become hostile, as individuals may find themselves publicly humiliated rather than receiving constructive feedback. Upper management seems indifferent to these issues, often shifting their responsibilities onto others to avoid accountability for their own shortcomings. Additionally, the company's policies regarding breaks are particularly troubling; if an employee inadvertently misses their lunch, they face an automatic deduction of thirty minutes from their workday, regardless of the circumstances. Attempts to address this policy are met with dismissive responses, as management insists that it is outlined in the employee handbook. This rigid adherence to policy is further exemplified by the expectation that employees return to work even during their designated lunch breaks, leading to a toxic atmosphere where refusal to comply can result in mistreatment and potential job insecurity.
