Pros
There's a good discount, and my coworkers are passionate. There's always an interesting variety of merchandise that comes in.
Cons
A combination of being short staffed and the busiest store in the district creates a lot of stress and being pulled in multiple directions. It's also challenging to section the merchandise due to how many questions, phone calls, and people selling stuff we get per hour. Daily schedules get posted right as we open the store more frequently than not. There's more focus on metrics (how much we scan per hour, how quickly we're 'supposed' to shelve, etc) rather than what is realisticly possible. Lots of micromanagement, poor management, and lack of/poor communication. The company is also very anti union and engages in a lot of union busting. The pay doesn't reflect the 10 million things we do every day.
