Pros

If this is your first job then the pay is decent. That's about the only pro for this job position.

Cons

Management for harris teeter in my experience is very incompetent. If you're a good worker you will most likely be scheduled to work during the most difficult shifts and you won't be paid any more for it. Your department manager will most likely be lazy and not actually do to much work The average shopper in Harris Teeter is upper middle class so on a daily basis you're going to encounter customers who think that they can speak to you in any manner that they please. If you're a male youre going to be doing a lot of the physical work required (heavy lifting, moving boxes, etc.) even though your female counter parts will still be paid just as much as you. You used to receive a bonus check every 6 months but that ended november 2013. Harris Teeter is slowly removing a lot of the good benefits that used to exist.

Pros

Decent people, make connections, pay, and hours are just okay.

Cons

Management sucks. If you fall victim to bullying, nobody cares/does anything. Working there from 16 to now (barely anymore), it was hard to be happy at all about going in when working with a specific manager who constantly nitpicked and talked behind your back.
