Pros
Lots of talented colleagues. Company has established long-standing relationships with vendors, buyers etc.
Cons
Bad benefit/ vacation package. No raises, no bonuses. Some of the highest-level employees are also the least competent, actually getting in the way of progress. Often "too many cooks in the kitchen".
Way too many passive-aggressive emails are written/ gripes whispered around office, instead of having direct, respectful in-person communication about concerns. There has been a lot of layoffs/ more "corporate" new hires, so there is a lot of distrust.
Business has been getting worse and worse, morale low. It's an industry-wide problem. Strategies and leadership change a lot, with no results. No one knows WTF to do.
Really: if you are just starting out, consider going into a different field. Mass market fashion is not fun right now.....at all. Waaaay too much stress/pressure/too long hours for not enough money nor even the satisfaction of knowing your product is selling well or helping the world.
