Pros
Working with interesting clients in the gaming industry. You are given a lot of trust and autonomy. in general, they really value people who can run with projects. Throw you into the deep end type of thing. It’s an environment where you make your own opportunities. There is a lot of opportunities for growth and learning. Other Pros: • Easy going team and you are treated more like a partner rather than employee. • Time off during holidays • Generous benefits • Occasional social events • CEO is open to feedback and progressive (we went remote way before COVID, like 2 years) • Great salary adjustments depending on performance
Cons
with the trust and autonomy, there is also more responsibilities expected. It can be overwhelming depending on the type of person you are. Sometimes there are things you are expected to do outside your work function but there is lack of training. There is also a lack of structure. Things like career progression and development is not as clear as you’d expect at other companies. these may not really cons but It’s an environment much suited for individuals who are strong self starters, self-directed/managing, who are ok with the unknowns and don’t need much hand holding.
