Pros
Some great colleagues who remain committed despite the challenges.
Cons
I’ve been in sales for over twenty years and have never experienced an environment quite like Hawthorne Health. Leadership is highly unstable, priorities shift constantly, and communication is consistently poor, leaving teams struggling to keep up.
The turnover speaks for itself: the commercial team has lost eight people (and counting) since the beginning of the year. That level of attrition is not normal in a healthy organization and reflects a lack of clear direction. Employees are left uncertain about strategy, expectations, and even their own job security.
"HR" has contributed to the instability. Our health benefits were changed with almost no notice and employees were given a single day’s warning that their coverage would be switching. For a healthcare company, this kind of disruption is deeply concerning and erodes trust.
After two decades in this field, I know good people don’t leave in waves without cause. Until there is accountability at the top and a stable strategy in place, Hawthorne will continue to struggle to retain talent.
